Capturing the connection that only horse people understand.
There is art in the way you move together and beauty in the trust you’ve built. My Western editorial style blends refinement with authenticity to create portraits that feel powerful, timeless, and undeniably you.
FAQ
Do I need to own or lease my horse to book a session?
Yes. For safety and liability reasons, I only photograph clients with their own horse or a horse they actively lease and have experience handling. This ensures a safe, comfortable, and authentic experience for both of you.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are held at your barn, property, or a location approved by your trainer/owner. I do not provide horses or locations. If your barn has specific rules, please share them before booking so we can plan accordingly.
What should I wear?
Western editorial styling photographs beautifully in neutrals, denim, leather, and textures like suede or cotton. I recommend 1–2 outfits that feel true to you and allow for movement with your horse. I’ll help you choose looks during your planning call.
How long does a typical photo session last?
The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours. I work intentionally to capture the best light, your connection, and a variety of looks, but there’s no strict timer. We go with the rhythm of the horse.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My editing process typically takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the volume of images and the complexity of editing required. I prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and I'm flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
Can family or additional horses be included?
Immediate family can be included at no additional cost. Additional horses have a small fee due to the extra time and handling required. All horses must be owned/leased by you and comfortable with the environment.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes. I regularly travel throughout Texas and beyond. Travel fees vary based on mileage, time, and accommodations. All travel is custom-quoted at booking.
